Darksiders 2 is gearing up for a comeback on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with some serious upgrades. THQ Nordiq just dropped the news that Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition will be hitting the next-gen consoles on October 15th.

The new edition comes with 4K graphics, ray tracing, and a bunch of other enhancements, like improved lighting, shadows, and the oh-so-talked-about haptics in the DualSense controller.
But before you get too hyped, let’s keep it real. The content isn’t exactly new. The Deathinitive Edition on PS4/XB1 already packed all the DLC and had tweaks to game balance and loot distribution. This next-gen version is more about the visual and sensory experience.
Next-gen perks in a nutshell:
- 4K Graphics & Ray Tracing – You’ll get to see every detail of this action-packed adventure with 4K resolution and the visual boost of ray tracing, giving everything sharper shadows and more realistic lighting.
- Haptic Feedback – With the DualSense controller, every one of Death’s moves feels a lot more real, making you actually feel those bone-crushing attacks in your hands.
- Fast Loading – Thanks to the SSD magic, loading times are practically non-existent. You’ll spend less time staring at loading screens and more time slicing through enemies.
Nothing groundbreaking in terms of content, but if you’re looking for a visually enhanced trip back into the world of Darksiders 2, this Deathinitive Edition might just be what you need.
